The key points to the Business case behind a RFID system in gas cylinders

There have been evident signs of interest for some time now (at least 3 or 4 years) in the LPG market about the RFID applications in the LPG cylinders (Athelia’s Gas Flow system).

The obvious advantages (thoroughly explained by the few skilled enough RFID integrators, here and there) that a tag located in a cylinder could bring to the company have not proven in the past to overcome both the costs of such a system, and more importantly, some operating issues. This has lead to many pilot projects in these last few years, but fewer of them rolled-out.
