Milestones in our existence

Creation of Athelia Solutions. Athelia is born as a joint-venture between AIR LIQUIDE, and GEMPLUS.
From its beginning Athelia was oriented as a solution provider, to design and develop new generation of tracking solutions, based on RFID technology. This could be done by relying on the large exertise of GEMPLUS in RFID and AIR LIQUIDE ‘s international industrial outstanding experience to track industrial and medical gas cylinders from 1995.

Athelia signs its first contract in France within the LPG market, with PRIMAGAZ, to maintain and control their stationary tanks of liquid gas.

Athelia signs a contract with AIR LIQUIDE Santé France, to completely re-design the tracking solution for over 300.000 medical cylinders.

The merger takes place between Athelia Solutions (France), T-Log (France) and M&C Sistemas (Spain). This is a merger between three fully complementary companies in terms of market and technology.

The activities of the company are focused mainly on the following markets:

• Beer
• Food
• LPG
• Industrial and Medical gas
• Asset tracking activity

With this merger Athelia`s market position became much stronger as we got access to markets previously practically inaccessible and we acquired expertise we formarly did not have, especially in the domain of Mobile Data Capture. This has enlarged the solution Athelia could propose to the market.

Athelia signs a contract with Mahou-Sanmiguel in the Beer Market.

GS1- Advisory Committee EPC Global France Athelia Solutions and AIR LIQUIDE are membership of the GS1 Advisory Committee related to EPC Global France Laboratory.
EPC Global France requires Athelia’s RFID expertise but also our knowledge and great field experience with the projects deployed to evaluate RFID technologies and contribute to define the standards that could respond to the real needs and constraints of tracking applications.

Within AIR LIQUIDE Services Division, Athelia Solutions is the traceability business unit in charge of all the AIR LIQUIDE cylinder tracking engineering. As well as it continues developing businesses on its own in other vertical markets.
